Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at Franciscan Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting, working closely with our healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, medical histories, and medication administration
  • Assist healthcare providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree or certification in Medical Assisting required
  • 1 year of Medical Assisting experience preferred, but new graduates welcome
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA) certification required
