Position Summary:
The Global Duty Management Specialist is accountable for overseeing Corning's worldwide duty expenditures and cost reduction initiatives across various sectors. This position necessitates comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations, trade agreements, and international trade methodologies.

This individual will collaborate closely with diverse departments, including finance, logistics, and legal, to identify, recover, or minimize duties incurred on imported products.

The Global Duty Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to customs regulations, maximizing duty savings, and bolstering the organization's overall trade operations.

The ideal candidate will contribute to cost reductions, enhance cash flow, and improve the organization's effectiveness in the global marketplace.


Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline

- Extensive experience in duty drawback or customs compliance roles

- Profound understanding of customs regulations, duty recovery and avoidance strategies, and international trade practices

- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in preparing and submitting Protests, Post Summary Corrections, and Drawback claims

- Familiarity with trade agreements, such as USMCA, etc.

- United States Customs Brokerage License

Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously oversee Corning's global import and export profile to pinpoint potential duty drawback or other governmental recovery opportunities.

- Collaborate with internal teams to collect necessary information and documentation, including invoices, shipment records, and customs paperwork.


- Partner with third-party entities to accurately prepare duty drawback, Post Submission Corrections, or Protests claims in compliance with customs regulations, tracking the status of claims and following up with customs authorities to ensure timely processing.

- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders regarding duty recovery, reduction, bonded operations, and requirements.

- Regularly review and evaluate duty recovery and avoidance processes to identify areas for enhancement and implement necessary adjustments.

- Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and evolving regulations related to duty recovery and avoidance.

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $107,836.

Starting compensation for the successful candidate is influenced by various job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.

The benefits associated with this position are contingent on hours worked and may encompass medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and paid time off.
