Job Overview
We are seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Science with a specialization in Software Engineering/Software Development. The Department of Computer Science, Engineering & Mathematics at the University of South Carolina Aiken is dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering innovative research. The successful candidate will be expected to commence their role in the upcoming academic year, focusing on undergraduate education and research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging instruction in a variety of Computer Science courses, utilizing effective teaching methodologies.
2. Maintain an active research agenda, mentoring students and collaborating with industry and government partners.
3. Participate in departmental service and contribute to the growth of the Computer Science program.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related discipline by the start date. Candidates who are ABD (All But Dissertation) may also be considered.
