Overview

The Pilot in Command for the Learjet 45 Series aircraft is responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of all flight operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Pilot, this role holds the ultimate authority in the management of the aircraft and must adhere to all applicable regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Pilot in Command (PIC) for all flights.
  • Ensure compliance with operational schedules and directives.
  • Conduct thorough preflight inspections.
  • Analyze weather conditions for all flight phases.
  • Prepare and review flight plans.
  • Maintain the aircraft's cleanliness and readiness for passenger comfort.
  • Calculate weight and balance, fuel requirements, and performance metrics.
  • Utilize checklists in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Oversee the first officer and coordinate crew activities.
  • Make informed decisions regarding flight operations, including delays or route changes.
  • Remain accessible to crew and staff during duty hours.
  • Adapt to a nonstandard work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Exhibit strong customer service skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Multi-Engine Land Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • Current First Class medical certification.
  • Proficient in radiotelephony communications.
  • Ability to pass necessary background checks.
  • Valid passport and driver's license.
  • Reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the base.

Skills

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Proficient in business software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting capability of up to 50 lbs.
