Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at New England Homes For The Deaf. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Resident Care
    • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
    • Assist with toileting, incontinence care, and other personal needs
    • Help residents with oral hygiene, foot care, and other health-related tasks
  • Support with Daily Activities
    • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, and mobility
    • Help with laundry, cleaning, and other household tasks
    • Assist with transportation to activities and appointments
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team
    • Work closely with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
    • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to address concerns and needs
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program
    • Active CNA certification
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
