We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems. As a key member of our Space Avionics and Payloads team, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and testing our systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety, and other requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Requirements analysis and definition
  • Functional analysis and performance analysis
  • System design and trade studies
  • Systems integration and test (verification) and validation
  • Interface definition studies of system elements

Our systems typically include digital signal processing algorithms that are implemented in hardware and software for space-based systems. We encourage candidates with experience in digital signal processing algorithm development, particularly with a focus on statistical analysis of signal parameter measurements using techniques from Detection & Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Communications and Information Theory.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field
  • 8+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience
  • Agile experience preferred

We offer a competitive salary range of $135,000 to $150,625 per year, as well as a flexible schedule with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule).
