Job Title: Tool & Die Maker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our team. As a Tool & Die Maker, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining tools and dies for various manufacturing processes. Your expertise in tooling and die development will be crucial in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build tools and dies for various manufacturing processes
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve machining-related problems
  • Read and understand CAD designs, sketches, and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances
  • Provide dies that are ready for production and repair or manufacture parts to maintain production tooling
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, EDMs, lathes, and grinders
  • Calculate and set up controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, cushion pressures, etc. for computerized machine control
  • Validate parts on PG, UCF, or Parts Gauge quality of finished work piece to specifications
  • Maintain, lubricate, and clean molds and recommend improvements for cycle preventive maintenance
  • Perform general maintenance on Toolroom equipment

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in Tool & Die, Progressive, Line Dies, Tandem Lines, Compound Tooling, etc.
  • 6-10 years of experience in Tool & Die in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Best Practices for New Product Launch, Die Maintenance, and Corrective Action Measures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Thorough knowledge of tool room machines, inspection, measuring, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment
