As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to patients. Your expertise will help patients achieve optimal health outcomes through evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities:

* Screen, assess, and implement nutrition care plans for patients
* Document and perform discharge planning, and complete referrals as needed
* Coordinate patient care with Food Service Staff, if necessary
* Adhere to departmental and hospital policies and procedures
* Communicate with patients, family members, and significant others to ensure patient-focused care
* Obtain comprehensive data on individual patients' personal, medical/health histories
* Determine nutrient and energy requirements
* Identify and review possible food/medication/herb interactions
* Work closely with food service personnel to promote delivery of care
* Analyze and interpret nutrition and health assessment data
* Formulate nutrition care plans and establish follow-up plans
* Document nutrition and health assessment/follow-up in medical records
* Participate in interdisciplinary discussions focused on patients
* Educate other healthcare professionals about the positive impact of appropriate nutritional care
* Meet productivity standards and demonstrate competencies required by specific area of work
* Promote nutrition care services to other healthcare providers and practices
* Participate in Department and Hospital activities
* Precept and instruct dietetic interns during their rotations
* Actively engage in process improvement to advance the delivery of nutrition care with limited resources

Requirements:

* Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration
* Licensed Dietitian - Commonwealth of MA
* BS in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related subject/MS preferred
* Ability to precept dietetic interns
