Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente seeks a seasoned healthcare leader to oversee the operational, service, and fiscal management of psychiatric patient care services in a high-volume behavioral health facility. As a key member of the leadership team, this individual will develop and implement strategies to drive quality outcomes, improve access, and enhance the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Direct the operations of a full-service behavioral health facility, including inpatient and outpatient services, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve access, quality, and efficiency, while maintaining a strong focus on patient care and satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budget planning, development, and monitoring, and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
  • Human Resources: Direct the management of human resources, labor relations, employee safety, and risk management, and provide strategies for workforce planning and development.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to patient care, confidentiality, and ethics.
  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality and utilization standards across the continuum of care, and ensure coordinated plans of treatment and customer-focused delivery of services.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to demonstrate the work of the department and its contribution to Kaiser Permanente's goals and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of previous management experience in a large department in a complex healthcare setting.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing, social work, or other health-related field; or, if no license in Psychology, Marriage Family Therapy, or Clinical Social Work, Master's degree in Public Health or related field required.
  • License, Certification, Registration: National Provider Identifier required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current Valid License: Current valid license as a Psychologist or Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California, or Advanced Practitioner RN preferred.
