Job Title: Immigration Paralegal

Goldberg and Associates Immigration Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our team. As a key member of our USCIS team, you will play a critical role in assisting attorneys with clerical and research support services, including document preparation, evidence packages, and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
  • Prepare USCIS forms, evidence lists, and legal memos and letters for Asylum, Cancellation of Removal, I-601A, I-601, I-212, and I-237h waivers.
  • Meet with clients to complete forms, draft affidavits, and provide case status information.
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys.
  • Conduct research on immigration law and procedures.
  • Prepare draft correspondence and memoranda.
  • Enter case information and make regular updates to our web-based case management system.
  • Track the status of filings and inform the client of any follow-up that may be necessary.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings, and processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field required.
  • Paralegal certificate is required.
  • At least 3 years experience as an Immigration Paralegal exclusively with EOIR, asylum, and USCIS cases, including waivers and cancellation of removals.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
