Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer

Job Title: Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer

Job Summary:

Duke Health seeks a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to perform advanced echocardiography services for pediatric patients. The successful candidate will possess strong clinical expertise and excellent communication skills to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms, including 2D, 3D, Doppler, Transesophageal, and Stress Echocardiogram procedures.
  • Operate echocardiography equipment, including transducers and digital networking systems.
  • Maintain equipment in working order and report any malfunctions.
  • Prepare preliminary reports for review and interpretation by cardiologists.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and evaluate procedure results for technical quality and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification or currently holds required registry or certification.
  • ARDMS/CCI certification in Echocardiography.
  • BLS certification.
