About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Data Management Expert to join our IT team at Scout Exchange. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database infrastructure to support our business operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, with expertise in Oracle internal views, shell & SQL, and PL/SQL scripting. They should also be familiar with developing tools to administer large numbers of test & development database environments. Additionally, they should have a thorough understanding of setting up infrastructure for databases in datacenters at multiple sites, including cloud infrastructure.

This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, with a strong focus on database performance tuning and optimization. The successful candidate will work closely with our IT team to ensure the smooth operation of our databases and provide 24x7 coverage for supporting production & development database systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain database infrastructure to support business operations
  • Develop tools to administer large numbers of test & development database environments
  • Set up infrastructure for databases in datacenters at multiple sites, including cloud infrastructure
  • Provide 24x7 coverage for supporting production & development database systems

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in database administration, with a focus on Oracle databases
  • Expertise in Oracle Exadata database machines and MSSQL Server
  • Strong background in database security and disaster recovery procedures
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Salary: $125,000 - $155,000 per year
