Position Summary:

Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop is on the lookout for a skilled Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee a dedicated group of over 45 warehouse personnel, managing processes and playing a pivotal role in the introduction of a new inventory and ordering management system.

As the Warehouse Operations Supervisor, you will drive productivity goals, collaborating closely with both team members and management. Your communication and leadership abilities will be essential, as you will serve as the primary point of contact. This position is vital for supporting our Retail Stores and the growth of our Wholesale division.

We depend on our Warehouse Operations Supervisors to ensure the well-being and safety of our workforce. A robust background in warehouse operations and a comprehensive understanding of fundamental warehouse functions are essential. Training and experience in basic warehouse operations, safety regulations, and forklift operation are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Manage receiving, storage, distribution, and maintenance operations in accordance with company standards and policies.
  • Establish operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflow and optimal space utilization.
  • Lead and develop a team of warehouse staff, focusing on performance management and training.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain health, safety, hygiene, and security standards in the workplace.
  • Analyze and prepare workflow, staffing, and space requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain stock control systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and transportation services.
  • Develop and execute logistical strategies to meet operational targets.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Demonstrated work experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse management practices.
  • Proficient in inventory management and control.
  • Forklift operation experience and certification.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership and staff management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
