The Nursing Leadership Specialist will oversee perioperative services.

Key Responsibilities:
The Nursing Leadership Specialist will serve as a designer, coordinator, integrator, and evaluator of care for individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations. This role requires a deep understanding of care rationale and the ability to deliver high-quality care to a diverse and complex patient population across various settings.
Data synthesis and evaluation are crucial for achieving optimal patient outcomes. The role involves collecting and analyzing data on patient outcomes, such as pressure ulcers, medication errors, and falls, while maintaining unit-level metrics and dashboards.
Collaboration with the work team to identify improvement opportunities and facilitate process enhancements is essential. The Nursing Leadership Specialist will also participate in quality improvement initiatives and utilize effective teaching strategies to educate clients, groups, and healthcare professionals.
Development of patient educational pathways and materials is a key component of this role, ensuring that patients and families understand their health conditions and self-care practices. The specialist will also mentor less experienced nursing staff in assessment and evaluation techniques.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program and completion of a Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on the Clinical Nurse Leader role and competencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive clinical knowledge of the patient population is preferred, with opportunities for mentorship from senior staff.
Licensure:
Current Registered Nurse license; CNL Certification must be obtained within six months. Preferred certifications include ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS, or NALS within twelve months.
Three years of acute care nursing experience is required, along with progressive involvement in direct patient care, staff education, and problem-solving within healthcare settings.
