Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the University of Vermont Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing professional respiratory care to patients in various states of health and illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for patients requiring respiratory therapy.
  • Provide and oversee the delivery of patient care for adult ICU populations and all patients requiring respiratory care in the general units.
  • Develop and maintain proficiencies in both adult ICUs and all general units, as defined by department expectations.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in charge and ED proficiencies, as required.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved program for Respiratory Care.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Vermont.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC within one year of hire date.
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
