Position Summary:
Electronic Carbide Inc. is a reputable and innovative aerospace and defense machining facility situated in the scenic Sierra Nevada foothills. Established in 1978, we pride ourselves on offering competitive compensation packages, outstanding benefits, and adaptable work schedules. We are currently seeking skilled individuals with a strong background in CNC machining, including setup, operation, and programming of CNC mills and lathes. The ideal candidates will demonstrate a solid work ethic, dedication, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operating and/or setting up CNC mills and lathes.
- Experience with Haas controlled CNC machines is preferred.
- Familiarity with various tooling types, sizes, and applications.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand task specifications and desired outcomes.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision components according to specifications.
- Prepare and load raw materials and components into machines.
- Monitor machine operations, making necessary adjustments to enhance production quality.
- Conduct quality inspections on produced parts to ensure precision and consistency.
- Adhere to established manufacturing processes and procedures to achieve production targets.
- Possess mechanical aptitude and strong mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of GD&T is advantageous.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and efficiency within the shop.
- Comply with safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
