Brighton Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our on-call team. As an on-call nurse, you will provide high-quality care to our patients in their time of need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide initial and ongoing assessment of the impact of the terminal diagnosis on daily living and the patient's physical, functional, spiritual, psycho-social, and environmental needs
  • Develop and implement plans of care, determining scope, priority, and frequency of services based on patient/family needs
  • Consult with and educate the patient/family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, end-of-life care, and ethical concerns
  • Communicate with the medical director and other clinicians regarding changes in patient needs and outcomes of intervention
  • Prepare and submit documentation of observations, findings, and services provided
Requirements
  • Active RN license
  • Ability to work outside of typical business hours
  • Willingness to respond to patients in their time of need
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation for traveling to patients
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to complete patient charting on a daily basis
