Radiology Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Radiology Specialty Tech I at The MetroHealth System, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This position requires a strong foundation in radiologic technology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of technical procedures in diagnostic radiology and one specialty area of radiology for the diagnosis of diseases in children through adult patients.
• Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable imaging results.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care and support.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License.
• Possesses licensing in advanced modality (ARRT CT or M) as required for specific opening or obtains within 1 year of employment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or obtains within the standard probationary period.

Physical Requirements:

• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
• May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs.
• May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Normal visual range with or without correction.
• Normal audio range with or without correction.
