About the Role:
As a CBRE Data Center Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. This role is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function, responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, ensuring proper functioning and maintenance.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by monitoring environmental conditions.
  • Respond to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with company processes and regulations.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and alert management if requirements are not met.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Monitor BMS for running and alarm conditions and address HVAC-related client issues.
  • Conduct building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities.
  • Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
  • Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures, ensuring all safety processes and quality standards are met.
  • Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
  • Complete required training to ensure successful completion of job-related responsibilities.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems, exercising limited discretion.

Requirements:
  • Training in a Technical discipline, with 1-2 years of job-related experience or equivalent. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must meet the physical requirements of this role.
  • Effective communication skills to present information to internal departments, clients, management, and colleagues.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills, including calculating simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
