Job Summary

As an Aviation Maintenance Technician with Air Methods, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections of company-operated aircraft and articles in accordance with Air Methods policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Verify the accuracy of component or assembly installation or removal by physical inspection or markings on the part.
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement phase of the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and be familiar with SMS policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work area.
  • Correct compliance or safety issues when directed by management.
  • Advise the Pilot in Command of any maintenance issues that would take an aircraft out of service.
  • Validate or confirm data in the Status Report concerning the aircraft being worked on.
  • Request aviation parts and supplies to maintain an adequate and orderly inventory.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training.
  • Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred.
  • FAR 135 operations preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand various documents such as 337s, Service Bulletins, ADs, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Efficient in the use of electronic or paper-based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information.
  • Ability to learn and utilize the company's ERP system (Ramco).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to apply creativity and problem-solving skills in troubleshooting work.
Pay Range

USD $33.32/Hr.
