Position: Commercial Glazing Supervisor
This role is responsible for overseeing and facilitating operations within the Commercial Glazing division, focusing on project management and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level communication support to Project Managers and Installation teams.
- Coordinate installation schedules and manage logistics for material delivery, ensuring timely project completion within budget constraints.
- Organize and participate in site measurements with Lead Glaziers.
- Supervise multiple installation teams, ranging from 2 to 15 installers per project site, through Lead Glaziers.
- Mentor and develop installers to foster their professional growth.
- Ensure that the installation of Architectural Glass and Aluminum products complies with industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Facilitate effective communication between field teams and office staff.
- Identify and resolve project-related issues or conflicts as they arise.
- Schedule and attend foreman meetings, both onsite and offsite, as necessary.
- Ensure completion of Toolbox talks and Safety Training sessions.
- Conduct installation training for new or unfamiliar project-specific products.
- Review and approve installer timesheets and time-off requests.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Commercial Glass and Glazing systems, including Storefronts, Curtainwalls, Glass Railings, and Heavy Glass Walls.
- Ability to interpret and mark up technical drawings and plans.
- Proficient in measuring and laying out installation materials according to specifications.
- Familiarity with tools and machinery utilized in the Glass and Glazing industry.
- Prior experience in Glazing is essential.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and Glazing Software, with training provided for specific tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills are required.
- Professional communication and leadership abilities are necessary for effective interaction with team members, clients, and other trade partners.
- A commitment to servant leadership, with a focus on training and guiding team members.
- A willingness to continuously learn and adapt to evolving company culture and industry practices.
