About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team at State Farm. As a key member of our litigation team, you will be responsible for defending our clients in civil lawsuits and providing expert advice on insurance-related matters.

Responsibilities
  • Defend State Farm clients in civil lawsuits, including trials and appeals
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of complex insurance-related issues
  • Develop and implement effective defense strategies to protect our clients' interests
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure seamless case management
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance law and regulations
Requirements
  • Active license to practice law in Florida and membership in good standing with the Florida Bar
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance defense or a related field
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and support staff
  • Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
