Job Title: Senior Cost Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to join our team at Forgen. As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for monitoring the financial progress of projects, computing operating fixed and variable costs, and comparing such costs to budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Embody Forgen's Core Values in all aspects of the job.
  • Remain up-to-date on project values, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Maintain a complete project file and prepare to answer questions on project status.
  • Distinguish accounting requirements per contract and per contract type.
  • Maintain Project Files, including original as-bid budget, EAC, Statement of Work, and project closeout documentation.
  • Project Startup - Ensure project labor setup is correctly coordinated with contracts, accounting, and human resources.
  • Project Execution - On-going review of project information for completeness and ensuring project deliverables are completed on a weekly schedule.
  • Cost Performance & Accounting.
  • Monitor contract cost performance and address notification of funding limitations.
  • Remain knowledgeable of and tracking Open AR and Unbilled Amounts for project.
  • Providing invoice support as necessary.
Requirements:
  • BS in Business Administration (in related field) or equivalent with three or more years of Cost Accounting experience with a Government Contractor.
  • Performing various financial analysis such as reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Business Nav experience a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to drive on behalf of company business.
