Job Overview

SUMMARY:
As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will be tasked with adhering to all established standard operating procedures (SOPs) to fulfill both internal and external customer requirements efficiently.

This position will be situated within one of the operational segments of the warehouse, which may include receiving materials, conducting bin transactions, and coordinating the scheduling of trucks for the daily intake and dispatch of materials.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently.
  • Receive, inspect, sort, and organize items for storage or shipment in compliance with established SOPs and customer specifications.

Conduct cycle counts of raw materials utilized in the production process.


  • Prepare accurate documentation for the packing and shipping of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly inventory environment.
  • Verify proper storage conditions for products and alert the Supervisor to any inventory discrepancies, such as missing items, expired products, breakages, or stock shortages.
  • Collaborate with team members as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction and foster teamwork.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to read and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • General experience in warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with computers and scanning equipment is preferred.

Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems for transaction management.


  • Capability to work independently and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Competence in basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Physical ability to stand, move, reach, bend, stoop, grasp, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Knowledge of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage and chemical safety, including labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to operational demands.
  • Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with potential overtime requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Regularly required to stand while performing job duties.
  • Specific PPE is mandatory, including gloves, hair and beard nets, and safety glasses without makeup or jewelry.

This role involves a balance of 50% office work and 50% warehouse inventory tasks.


EDUCATION:
Minimum requirement of an accredited High School Diploma or GED.
