Are you a dedicated and empathetic Certified Nursing Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of elderly residents? This position offers an opportunity to provide high-quality care in a long-term care setting.
Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Duration: Renews every 6 months
Compensation: $31.50/hr
Available Shifts: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM OR 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist elderly residents with daily activities such as mobility, nutrition, personal hygiene, and dressing.
- Utilize medical equipment including geri-chairs, mechanical lifts, and wheelchairs to ensure resident safety and comfort.
- Monitor and report on residents' health by taking vital signs and gathering necessary samples.
- Document observations accurately and communicate effectively with staff, families, and volunteers.
- Respond to resident needs promptly and facilitate their participation in dining and activities.
- Engage in interdisciplinary meetings to contribute to care planning and information sharing.
- Follow care instructions from medical professionals, including therapeutic exercises and sensory activities.
- Assist nursing staff during emergencies and adhere to established care protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Arizona.
- Demonstrated compassion and a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for elderly residents.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Understanding of safety protocols and universal precautions.
