As a full-time
Field Service Technician, your primary goal is to deliver outstanding value by meeting the tire requirements of each customer with the Purcell standard; ensuring safety and compliance while utilizing the appropriate tools and techniques during service calls at customer locations and on roadside assistance tasks.

Requirements:

  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening*
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in commercial tire services
  • Valid driver's license
  • 3-year Clean Motor Vehicle Record; No DUIs and no more than 2 moving violations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commit to ongoing improvement, training, and professional development
  • Execute commercial tire and wheel replacements and installations
  • Dismount wheels utilizing lug wrenches and various hand and power tools
  • Repair, balance, rotate, mount, and replace commercial tires and wheels
  • Respond to service calls as directed by the service manager
  • Maintain service vehicle inventory
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on the service vehicle, including daily inspections and oil changes
  • Assist with basic facility maintenance, shop organization, and cleanliness
  • Identify opportunities to enhance our products and services
  • Perform other essential and non-essential tasks as assigned by management

*Field Service Technicians receive compensation through a combination of hourly wages, daytime service commissions, and night/weekend service commissions. The stated range reflects an estimated total of all compensation sources, presented as an hourly rate. Factors influencing this include relevant experience, certifications, geographic location, and willingness to engage in after-hours/on-call services.

  • This position is classified as "safety-sensitive" under Assembly Bill 132, as impairment while performing duties poses a significant risk of harm to both the employee and customers. Consequently, final candidates will undergo screening for non-psychoactive cannabis metabolites, and offers of employment will be rescinded if results are positive. Once employed, individuals may be subject to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident screenings, with positive results leading to immediate termination in accordance with company policies.
