Position Overview:

The Artisan Bread Baker is an entry-level position responsible for mixing ingredients and preparing a variety of baked goods, including breads and bagels. The role requires adherence to established standards for ingredient measurement and product quality, ensuring that all items meet our high expectations for freshness and taste.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare baked products by accurately measuring, mixing, and shaping dough to achieve the desired weight and size.
• Follow recipes and production guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
• Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers and addressing their inquiries.
• Assist in training new team members as necessary.
• Comply with all health, sanitation, and safety regulations to maintain a clean working environment.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Previous baking experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of bakery products.
• Ability to operate baking equipment safely and efficiently.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for recipe interpretation and measurements.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
• Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends as required.

Working Environment:

• The bakery area may be warmer than typical room temperature due to oven use.
• The role involves frequent walking, standing, and lifting up to 70 lbs, as well as occasional climbing and reaching.
• Repetitive hand movements are required for various baking tasks.
