Responsibilities
Key Duties:
- Maintain health and safety as the top priority by adhering to all safe work practices and policies.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, considering compatibility.
- Comply with weight limits and effectively utilize company equipment.
- Properly placard vehicles to meet regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, worksheets, timecards, expense reports, dispatch, trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including DOT, HAZMAT, and RCRA regulations.
- Adhere to the assigned schedule for pickups and drop-offs.
- Communicate regularly with coordinators regarding daily schedules and logistics.
- May be required to load and unload your own vehicle.
- Forklift experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Flexibility to adapt to daily schedule changes based on customer needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
What You Need to Succeed:
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Experience operating van trailers and tankers.
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required or willingness to obtain.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service skills are essential.
- Willingness to travel overnight 15% to 30% of the time.
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with mobile devices are necessary.
