Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our Inpatient Services team at Ascension Via Christi. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage medication orders to prevent and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems.
  • Provide expert guidance on medication use and recommend formulary alternatives when necessary.
  • Compound and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and families to ensure seamless care.
  • Supervise technical personnel and assist with academic functions, such as precepting pharmacy students.
  • Float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
