Community Residence Counselor, Per Diem - Mental Health Services

At Mass General Brigham, we are committed to delivering exceptional mental health services to our patients. As a Community Residence Counselor, Per Diem, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and support to individuals in need.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide individualized care and support to patients under the guidance of the Program Manager.
  • Therapeutic Activities: Engage patients in therapeutic activities and practices to promote their well-being and recovery.
  • Counseling and Support: Deliver individual and group counseling sessions as per treatment plans, and build supportive relationships with patients while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Scenario Management: Effectively manage complex patient scenarios and provide direction and supervision as necessary.
  • Communication: Communicate patient information promptly to relevant staff and maintain open lines of communication.

Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with others to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Experience: No prior experience necessary, but one year of patient care experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred.
  • Certifications: Must have Medication Administration Program Certification.

Additional Information:
  • Work Environment: Employees are expected to remain awake and alert during all shifts.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are required for system use.
