Gourmet Foods International is seeking a skilled and experienced Class B CDL driver to join our team as a Regional Truck Driver. As a Regional Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering customer orders in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Perform pre-trip safety checks on the vehicle and trailer, including checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries, counting items, and verifying customer invoices.
- Drive to and deliver customer orders, following all DOT/FMCSA, state regulations, and GFI procedures and protocols.
- Maintain load temperatures according to load specifications.
- Unload products from the trailer and place them in designated customer storage areas.
- Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures, collect money when required, and contact management for authorization when discrepancies occur.
- Manage backhauls according to dispatch, jurisdictional compliance, and load optimization.
- Perform post-trip responsibilities, including unloading damaged goods and customer returns, completing necessary paperwork, and turning in all funds collected daily.
- Exceed customer service expectations while handling customer complaints professionally.
- Report accidents and injuries, and any damage to equipment immediately.
- Attend all required company meetings.
- Minimum age of 21.
- Valid Class B CDL.
The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 75 lbs, ascend and descend a step with a height of 17 in from the floor, and ascend and descend 3 rungs of the ladder, the first rung at 21 in from the ground.
