About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Service Aide to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, furniture, and other areas of the facility in a timely manner.
  • Deliver linen and remove trash from assigned areas.
  • Sweep and mop patient rooms.
  • Maintain adequate stock of materials, supplies, and chemicals on cleaning carts and in janitor's closets.
  • Consistently perform daily floor care procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is kept clean and polished, including carts, tanks, and buckets.
  • Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
  • Strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers.
  • Exceptional focus on teamwork.
  • Ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Environmental Service or Housekeeping experience.
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
