Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at E3 OMI. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting waste to and from designated locations, ensuring timely service and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy machinery, vehicles, and equipment with precision and care
  • Inspect equipment, structures, and materials to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, referring defects or repairs to supervisors as needed
  • Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring safety procedures and equipment while carrying out tasks and work orders
  • Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures to ensure safety and quality work product
  • Knowledge of business principles and disposal procedures involved in Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste disposal
  • Decontaminate equipment to remove hazardous or toxic substances safely
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel, for recording information and documentation
  • Prepare and maintain work records and reports, including employee time and wages, driver logs, daily field tickets, or inspection results
  • Strong knowledge of relevant safety policies and procedures, applying them to promote a safe work environment for clients, employees, and the public
  • Interpret meaning of information to others and communicate effectively with supervisory personnel
Requirements
  • A valid state driver's license with Class A CDL endorsement, with no active violations within the previous 3 years
  • Tanker and Haz-Mat Endorsement preferred
  • HAZWOPER certification preferred
  • 1 or more year(s) of experience as a truck driver
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred but not required
  • Understanding of business principles and practices
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, equipment, and tools involved in remediation services
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds. The employee will be exposed to extreme seasonal temperatures, both very hot and very cold. The employee will be exposed to contaminants, hazardous conditions, and hazardous equipment. The employee will be exposed to whole body vibration and sounds, with noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable at times. The employee will be exposed to cramped work space, awkward positions, and sometimes very confined spaces. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Travel

This position requires travel, primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel will be expected. The employee may travel extensively when the construction site is not close to the main office or when responsible for activities at two or more sites.
