Deaf Education Specialist

Pediatric Therapeutic Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Deaf Education Specialist to provide school-based services for a local school district in Pennsylvania.
- This is a full-time position with hours falling within a normal school day, varying depending on primary and secondary caseloads.
- The ideal candidate will be eligible for certification in Pennsylvania as a Teacher of Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Sign language skills are a must for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide educational services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff using sign language and other communication strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
- Eligibility for certification in Pennsylvania as a Teacher of Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Sign language skills and proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
