Job Overview

As a Registered Clinician, you will play a vital role in responding to 911 calls, providing mental health assessments, and making determinations of best resources to support clients.

About the Position

This is a Regular, Full-Time, FLSA Exempt position with a pay range of $85,000 - $90,000 annualized. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree from an accredited college with a major in Clinical Psychology or a related field and be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to 911 calls to provide mental health assessments and make determinations of best resources to support clients.
  • Maintain fidelity to Professional Assault Crisis Training (Pro-Act) and other evidence-based practices.
  • Act as liaison between multiple first responders and clients on scene to de-escalate crisis situations while providing mental health services.
  • Complete all mental health documentation for each encounter on time and meeting ethical and legal requirements.
  • Willingly open to learn and understand different perspectives and show self-awareness around race, gender, class, sexual orientation, lived experience, and other important attributes.
  • Assist with tracking program outcome data and ensure all consumers are provided with after-care follow-up.
  • Engage in community outreach to provide education about the program and how to access services.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Master's degree from an accredited college with a major in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
  • Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology.
  • Experience in providing behavioral health services in a public health, community mental health, crisis services, or other setting serving people who are unhoused.
  • Experienced in rapid screening and assessment, DSM5 Diagnosis, and working effectively and efficiently in stressful situations.
