Job Overview

Facilities Operations Technician

We are in search of a Facilities Operations Technician to become a vital part of our expanding team. This position, reporting directly to the Facility Manager, entails hands-on evaluation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of our continuous facility operations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on both critical and non-critical systems.
  • Manage and operate various mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression systems, life safety systems, temperature control systems, and building management systems.
  • Oversee and coordinate electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to all change control protocols.
  • Plan and supervise preventive, contracted, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Follow established operating procedures and maintenance guidelines.
  • Operate and monitor essential system equipment, overseeing efforts that include third-party contractors.
  • Respond swiftly to emergency situations and client inquiries.
  • Monitor facility operations during scheduled shifts.
  • Assess and assign safe work responsibilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical facility support; or 7+ years' experience as an HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician.
  • Preferred electrical/mechanical certifications.
  • Availability to work overtime and extended shifts, including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.


Flexibility in Work Hours:

Shifts will alternate as follows:

  • 3 months on day shift
  • 3 months on second shift
  • 3 months on night shift
