Diesel Fleet Mechanic Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This role requires a skilled professional with hands-on experience in diesel equipment repair and maintenance.


About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to work on a variety of heavy-duty commercial vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and reefers. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and reefers.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Repair and replace parts as needed, using precision tools and equipment.
  • Document all repairs and maintenance activities in a detailed log.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with ability to analyze complex problems.
  • Ability to work safely, following OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively with drivers and other mechanics.
