Pastry Artisan

We are seeking a highly skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team at Yoke's Fresh Markets. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods and providing exceptional customer service.

• Product Preparation: Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts according to company recipes and standards.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure that all ingredients and supplies are stocked and organized.
• Equipment Operation: Operate bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofers, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other bakery team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills, including ability to handle cash and make change.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense and problem-solving skills to carry out instructions and manage problems.

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and extreme temperatures. The noise level is moderate. Physical demands include standing for prolonged periods, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
