3RD SHIFT COATING LINE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

The Coating Line Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the preparation, loading, and packaging of components for the coating process. This position involves identifying and addressing quality concerns while maintaining a clean and organized workspace, emphasizing teamwork and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Verify job orders and material requirements, promptly reporting any discrepancies in packaging.

2. Prepare parts by taping and masking as necessary for the coating process.

3. Utilize appropriate hangers to ensure parts are hung correctly on the conveyor system, ensuring uniformity for cleaning and powder coating.

4. Assist with assembly tasks on the production line as required.

5. Remove components from racks post-oven curing.

6. Conduct inspections of coated parts for thickness using approved measurement tools.

7. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of paint hooks, organizing the workspace as needed.

8. Complete and manage all necessary production and quality documentation.

9. Use material handling equipment to rack fenders during unloading.

10. Follow guidelines for packaging parts to prevent damage, utilizing appropriate containers and racks.

11. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.

12. Report any quality issues to the line leader, manager, or quality control department.

13. Ensure compliance with safety standards, using proper personal protective equipment and adhering to load weight limits.

14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are preferred:

- Familiarity with tools, equipment, materials, and techniques relevant to the coating industry.

- Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with painting on a moving line.

- Proficient basic math and computer skills.

- Previous experience in a powder coating department is advantageous.

- Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles.

- Understanding of both Metric and Standard measurement systems.

- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

- Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements:

- Moderate to heavy physical effort is necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.

- Frequent bending and stooping are required.

Vision Requirements:
- Close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are essential.
