Position Summary:

The Field Survey Supervisor is tasked with leading survey crew operations under the direction of the Land Surveyor or Survey Department Head.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage survey crew activities to ensure timely project completion
  • Engage in survey tasks and assess team performance
  • Accurately document data and maintain comprehensive records
  • Perform necessary calculations to ensure project precision and deadlines
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships during field operations
  • Train and oversee survey team members
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and daily project logs
  • Address issues and adhere to safety protocols
  • Carry out other assigned responsibilities

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in operating field equipment
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Capability to effectively manage and lead a survey crew
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with survey and office tools
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly stand, walk, talk, climb, and lift objects
  • Occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, or crawl
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Moderate noise levels in the work environment

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in surveying
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
