CT and MRI Technologist

The CT and MRI Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic scans under the supervision of a Radiologist. This role emphasizes patient care, safety, and the maintenance of sterile techniques while also providing educational support to staff and students.

1. Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology, adhering to departmental protocols and policies.

2. Maintain active RT(R) credentials and utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot equipment and protocol issues.

3. Ensure accuracy in patient demographics and examination requests, critique and save pertinent images, and manage image transmission to PACS.

4. Perform examinations in a timely manner, consistently producing quality radiographic images, and analyze requests to formulate appropriate action plans.

5. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, documenting incidents and suggesting improvements for operational efficiency.

6. Effectively use RIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS systems to manage information and document procedure statuses.

7. Verify patient identity and history, assess physical conditions, and develop action plans for examinations, ensuring patient safety throughout the process.

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, including up-to-date continuing education credits.

Advanced registration in MRI with ARRT.

A minimum of two years of imaging experience, including at least one year in MRI.
