Nursing Professional Development Lead

Nursing Professional Development Specialists play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare at the University of Virginia Health System. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, driving excellence in patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs that meet the needs of our nursing staff
* Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and implement learning initiatives
* Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement
* Mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in nursing education and development

Requirements:

* Master's degree in Nursing or a related field
* 3 years of clinical nursing experience
* 2 years of educational experience
* Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
* American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's in Education
* Certification in an associated specialty
