Job Overview

Position Summary

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of High School or equivalent GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability and willingness to operate induction and/or torch brazing equipment.
  • Proficient in using basic hand tools and measurement instruments (such as verniers, micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Willingness to obtain certification for Induction and/or Torch Braze.
  • Understanding of fundamental mathematical concepts (including conversions to decimal and geometry).
  • Visual acuity assessment required upon offer acceptance.
  • This position is limited to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act) due to access to export-controlled technology. Proof of status will be required prior to employment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Basic interpretation of technical drawings and process documentation.
  • Set up and operate induction, soldering iron, and torch brazing equipment.
  • Utilize equipment to heat metal and facilitate the flow of braze/solder within components.
  • Employ cleaning devices (Vapor Blaster & Ultrasonic Cleaning).
  • Handle tinning acids & fluxes, preparing specific areas for tinning.
  • Assist with prototypes or initial builds as needed.
  • Basic comprehension of heat control principles.
  • Participate in cross-training with colleagues based on knowledge and experience.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation for labor tracking.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with internal specifications and third-party standards.
  • Report issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Actively seek to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Understand and adhere to the GE Leadership behaviors.
  • Engage in and support team initiatives.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols as required.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Familiarity with the operation of blasters, cut-off saws, air leak fixtures, etc.

Physical Requirements:
  • Capability to lift 1-2 lbs. continuously, up to 10 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers repetitively.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, squatting, climbing, and balancing.
  • Ability to sit continuously; occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.; push/pull up to 22 lbs.

Compensation for this role is $19/hr, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary.
