Job Overview

At Vail Resorts, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering a culture of excellence in our Ski School. As a Ski School Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality instruction and coaching, while driving staff development and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with operational responsibilities, including training, scheduling, lesson assignments, private lesson bookings, and guest service.
  • Oversee the daily upkeep of indoor and outdoor teaching areas, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for guests.
  • Support team staff through recognition, coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations, in collaboration with the Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with on-snow supervisors and managers to ensure facilities, processes, and guest interactions meet company and guest quality expectations.
  • Collect, review, and report on guest experience data to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • Current PSIA/AASI certification required.
  • 2-5 years of ski or snowboard instructor experience required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of ski and ride training and drills.
  • Ability to frequently walk/stand, stoop/reach, crouch, and kneel frequently.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
Compensation

The expected pay range for this position is $23.54 per hour. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
