Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team in New Underwood, SD. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide resident-centered care, including daily living assistance and nursing support
  • Assist with basic health care needs, such as bathing, toileting, and grooming
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns to the charge nurse

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • Minimum age of 16
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing
