Job Description

We are seeking a temporary full-time Civil Engineering Intern to support our growing business. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to apply professional principles to real-world problems under the supervision of senior engineering personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Perform geotechnical field work, including observing subsurface exploration, using GPS to layout borings, and conducting infiltration testing
  • Assist with construction observation and materials testing at construction sites
  • Conduct laboratory testing and create basic plans and figures using AutoCAD and GIS
  • Provide support to engineers on preparing geotechnical proposals and reports
  • Some travel may be required
Requirements
  • Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering Bachelor's or Master's degree program is preferred
  • Prior professional work or summer intern work in a related field is desirable but not required
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills and computer literacy
  • Ability to work with direction as part of a team
  • Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, including office and field work
  • Desire and willingness to work outdoors at undeveloped sites and construction sites
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 40 pounds

  • Ability to pass a background check, which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment screening
