First-Year Admissions Counselor

Shenandoah University is seeking a highly motivated and organized First-Year Admissions Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our admissions team, you will be responsible for managing all activities necessary to recruit students to Shenandoah University.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individual recruitment strategies for designated territories to meet enrollment goals.
- Manage relationships with prospective students, families, school counselors, and administrators to provide a high-quality recruitment experience.
- Collaborate with the Admissions Welcome Center Coordinator to plan and execute campus visits for prospective students and families.
- Provide admissions presentations to large and small groups, as well as lead campus tours and special tours of university buildings.
- Independently manage Saturday Visits throughout the fall and spring, and fully participate in on-campus recruitment events.
- Maintain student records and communicate with prospective families.
- Coordinate, monitor, and report on progress of recruiting programs to special populations.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- Familiarity with Apple computers and software, as well as Microsoft software, including Word and Excel.
- Experience with various admissions technologies, including the CRM Slate by Technolutions, preferred.
- Ability to adapt to and utilize numerous technology applications appropriately.
- Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and to travel overnight with a schedule averaging 12-18 weeks per year.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record and ability to pass a driving background check.
