Electrochemistry Research Engineer

Analog Devices is a global leader in semiconductor technology, and we're seeking a highly skilled Electrochemistry Research Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Deep Tech Architecture group, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing models of electrochemical cells using FEA and equivalent circuit methods.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and Development: Develop and implement models of electrochemical cells using FEA, physics-based or equivalent circuit methods.
  • Electrochemical Analysis: Interpret Nyquist curves and analyze data including cell voltages, temperatures, pressure, H2 crossover, and thermal imaging to draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python) for programming and data analytics to support modeling and data interpretation efforts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to integrate findings and improve electrochemical cell designs and control algorithms.
  • Stay Current: Keep up to date with the latest developments in electrochemical cell technologies, fuel cells, and electrolyzers.
Qualifications:
  • PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Physics, or a closely related field.
  • Candidates with a master's degree and significant relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Proven experience in electrochemical cells, with a focus on fuel cells or electrolyzer cells, especially PEM.
  • Experience working with an OEM/manufacturer of fuel cell or electrolyzer stacks is preferred but not required.
