Preschool Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Preschool Aide to join our team at St. Jerome Regional School. The successful candidate will provide support to the Pre-School Teacher in creating a nurturing educational environment for our students.

• Assist the Pre-School Teacher in planning and implementing educational activities and lessons.
• Supervise and engage with students during classroom activities, including recess, lunch, and dismissal.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as preparing instructional materials and maintaining classroom records.
• Communicate effectively with parents and teachers regarding student progress and concerns.
• Participate in the coordination of field trips and fundraisers associated with the preschool program.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of college or related coursework in child development.
• Previous experience working with children and a strong understanding of child development principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will work in a normal classroom setting, with regular hours between 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. May be required to work outside normal hours to attend school-related events, meetings, and/or staff development.
