This faculty member teaches college-level and college preparatory mathematics courses, utilizing a variety of teaching modalities, including in-person, online, and blended classes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach lecture and laboratory sections, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Evaluate and advise students, providing guidance on academic progress and career development.
  • Participate in departmental and college affairs, contributing to the development of curricula and academic programs.
  • Recruit students, promoting the value of higher education and the benefits of pursuing a degree in mathematics.
  • Serve on committees, collaborating with colleagues to address institutional issues and improve student outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the mission and goals of the institution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or statistics, or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 semester credit hours in mathematics or statistics, including calculus I or equivalent.
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and the community.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend assignments, to meet the needs of students and the institution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Unofficial transcripts, a cover letter, and resume, with a focus on academic and professional experience in mathematics education.
  • A willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a commitment to student success and institutional excellence.
